Shipping Policy

Information about production times, order processing, shipping, delivery, customs and seller responsibilities for products offered on Lux Carbon.

Last updated: September 14, 2026

Lux Carbon is an online marketplace connecting buyers with independent sellers of automotive carbon fiber parts, body components and related products.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, shipping and fulfilment are arranged by the independent seller responsible for the product. Delivery methods, production times, shipping costs and estimated arrival times can therefore vary between sellers, products and destinations.

Production and Processing Times

Many products listed on Lux Carbon are specialist automotive components. Some products are held in stock, while others may be manufactured, finished, prepared or ordered specifically after a customer places an order.

Production or manufacturing of certain products may take up to three months.

The actual production time depends on the product, manufacturer, seller, specification, workload and availability of materials.

Where a product requires an extended manufacturing or processing period, the applicable seller should provide or confirm the expected timeframe before the order is completed.

Production time is separate from shipping time. A product may require several weeks or up to three months to manufacture before it is ready to be handed to the carrier.

Estimated Delivery Times

Delivery times vary considerably because Lux Carbon sellers may ship products from different countries and may use different carriers and freight services.

The total time from placing an order to receiving a product may include:

  • Seller order processing.
  • Product manufacturing or preparation.
  • Quality checks and packaging.
  • Collection by the carrier.
  • Domestic or international transportation.
  • Customs clearance where applicable.
  • Final delivery to the buyer.

Any delivery date or delivery range provided by a seller should therefore be understood together with the applicable production or processing time.

Made-to-Order Products

Carbon fiber body parts frequently require manufacturing, finishing or preparation after an order has been confirmed.

This may include products such as:

  • Carbon fiber hoods.
  • Front lips and splitters.
  • Rear diffusers.
  • Spoilers and wings.
  • Side skirts.
  • Body kits.
  • Custom exterior components.
  • Parts requiring a specific finish or specification.

Buyers should not assume that a product is immediately available for dispatch simply because it is displayed on the marketplace.

Where manufacturing is required, the seller should communicate the estimated production period before the sale or as part of the agreed order terms.

Seller Responsibility

The independent seller responsible for the product is responsible for arranging fulfilment and providing relevant shipping information to the buyer.

The seller is responsible for matters including:

  • Confirming product availability.
  • Communicating applicable production or processing times.
  • Providing shipping options and shipping costs.
  • Packaging the product appropriately.
  • Handing the shipment to the agreed carrier.
  • Providing tracking information where tracking is available.
  • Providing documents reasonably required for shipment.
  • Responding to delivery-related questions.
  • Handling claims relating to lost, damaged or incorrectly delivered goods.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs depend on the seller, destination, product dimensions, weight, shipping method and carrier.

Carbon fiber automotive parts can be significantly larger than standard parcels. Hoods, bumpers, diffusers, body kits and other oversized products may require specialist freight, pallet shipping or other transportation arrangements.

The shipping price displayed on a product page may not always represent the final freight cost for oversized items or destinations requiring a separate quotation.

Where a separate shipping quotation is required, the seller should communicate the applicable cost before the transaction is completed.

International Shipping

Lux Carbon is an international marketplace and products may be shipped across national borders.

International delivery times can vary depending on the seller's location, destination country, carrier, transportation route and customs processing.

Buyers should verify that the seller can deliver the selected product to their destination before completing the transaction where international delivery has not already been confirmed.

Customs, Import VAT and Duties

International shipments may be subject to customs procedures, import VAT, customs duties, brokerage charges or other fees imposed by the destination country.

Unless the seller expressly states that such charges are included in the price, additional import charges may be payable by the buyer in accordance with the rules applicable in the destination country.

Lux Carbon does not determine customs duties or import taxes. These charges are determined by the relevant authorities and may vary according to the product, declared value, origin and destination.

Tracking Information

Where tracking is available, the seller should provide the buyer with the relevant tracking information after the shipment has been dispatched.

Tracking availability depends on the carrier and shipping method. Certain freight, pallet or specialist transport services may use different tracking or delivery confirmation procedures from standard parcel services.

Delivery Delays

Estimated delivery dates may change due to circumstances affecting manufacturing or transportation.

Possible causes of delay include:

  • Manufacturing or production delays.
  • Material availability.
  • Carrier delays.
  • Customs inspections or clearance.
  • Weather conditions.
  • Public holidays.
  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery information.
  • Remote destination requirements.
  • Transportation disruptions.

The seller should inform the buyer of a material delay when the seller becomes aware that the agreed delivery timeframe cannot be met.

EU Delivery Rights

Where a consumer purchases from a professional seller and EU consumer law applies, the seller must deliver within the delivery period agreed with the buyer.

If no different delivery period has been agreed, EU rules generally require delivery without undue delay and no later than 30 days after conclusion of the contract.

Products requiring a longer production period, including products that may take up to three months to manufacture, should therefore have the longer timeframe communicated and agreed as part of the transaction.

If the seller fails to deliver within the agreed period, the consumer may have statutory remedies under applicable EU and national consumer law.

Damaged Shipments

Buyers should inspect packages and products as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

If a product arrives damaged, the buyer should contact the applicable seller promptly and provide relevant information such as:

  • Order or transaction reference.
  • Description of the damage.
  • Photographs of the product.
  • Photographs of the external packaging.
  • Shipping label where relevant.

Buyers should retain the packaging where reasonably possible until the seller or carrier confirms whether it is required for a transport claim.

Lost Shipments

If tracking indicates a significant delivery problem or a shipment appears to be lost, the buyer should contact the applicable seller.

The seller is responsible for communicating with the carrier and taking the appropriate steps required under the transaction and applicable law.

Incorrect Delivery Information

Buyers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information.

Additional shipping charges may arise if a shipment must be redirected, returned or shipped again because the buyer supplied an incorrect or incomplete address, subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the transaction.

Multiple and Separate Shipments

An order containing several products may be delivered in more than one shipment, particularly when products have different production times, are stored at different locations or require different shipping methods.

Separate tracking information may be provided for each shipment where available.

Lux Carbon Marketplace Role

Lux Carbon provides marketplace infrastructure that allows independent sellers to present products and communicate with buyers.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Lux Carbon does not manufacture, package, dispatch or physically deliver products offered by independent sellers.

The applicable seller remains responsible for production information, fulfilment, shipping arrangements and compliance with the seller's obligations under applicable law.

Lux Carbon may assist buyers and sellers with marketplace communication but does not replace the independent seller's contractual or statutory obligations.

Shipping Questions

For questions about a specific product's production time, shipping cost, delivery date or tracking information, buyers should contact the applicable seller first.
