Product Description

These rear side-splitters are AutoTecknic's newly released dry carbon fiber product for the G8X M3/ M4 platform. Also known as the rear winglet, they are designed to mount directly onto the rear factory front bumper for a straightforward installation. Manufactured using 100% genuine 3K Twill-Weave (2X2) Pre-Preg Carbon Fiber with our signature autoclave technology,  these lower vents are then finished with multiple coatings of high-gloss UV-resistant clear coat. Following the weight-saving principles of motorsport ideals, we utilize the autoclave vacuum forming process to produce this lip with superior strength and fitment.

Dry carbon is the highest-quality version of carbon fiber products that are produced. Dry carbon fiber's name comes from its manufacturing process. Dry carbon fiber is formed by using a 'pre-preg' or impregnated piece of carbon materials. This piece of carbon is first placed into a mold and then into a sealed vacuum (autoclave) to cure appropriately. This method creates the least amount of waste and forms a lighter version of carbon than the 'wet' method. The autoclave vacuuming process of making dry carbon means fewer pinholes and virtually no air pockets in the carbon.
